i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as thegreatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.
five score years ago， a great american， in whose symbolic shadow we standtoday， signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as agreat beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared inthe flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the longnight of their captivity.
but one hundred years later， the negro still is not free. one hundred yearslater， the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles ofsegregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later， the negrolives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of materialprosperity. one hundred years later， the negro is still languished in thecorners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and sowe've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when thearchitects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution andthe declaration of independence， they were signing a promissory note to whichevery american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men， yes，black men as well as white men， would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of"life， liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that americahas defaulted on this promissory note， insofar as her citizens of color areconcerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation， america has given thenegro people a bad check， a check which has come back marked "insufficientfunds."

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic isOpportunities and Challenges.
First， I would like to know， what does your destiny offer you? Happiness，wisdom， a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question topresident Nixon， he would probably had said，”Our destiny offers not the cup ofdespair， but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say. Till now， we have used two sevenths of the preparationtime. How much changes have you seen? New roads， new subway lines，public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors， large blocks of grassfields， and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those， there are even more good effects brought to us by theOlympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example， more and more peoplewill get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attractthem strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment，for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness ofenvironmental protection is being strengthened. What is more， Olympic Games givea unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youthwith the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so manyadvances， could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyoneshould use some time to think of this question， ”Does the Olympic Games have anyspecial meaning to you?”
For us， I mean the Chinese youth. Because what we are waiting for is to dosomething significant as repaying the love given to us society is just like aship， and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Comehere and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is， but we have never heard ofit in our true life. This morning， however， when we wake up， we will see theOlympic Games waving its hand. After chewing， most of us will have at least oneplan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter”----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech， I hope all the preparation will go well， andeveryone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities andgive a big smile to challenges.

We should make good use of time to study hard or to do something meaningfulfor yourself。 So， we should plan the time to study and relax，especially at usewe have more free time at home，so that we can use that time to do a lot ofthings。
However，how can we plan the time? There are different ways for differentexample， somebody like to study in the morning， and relax in the the contrary，somebody like to relax in the morning， and study in the body even think the besttime to study is in the erent ways for different all the ways have one thing inmon。
That is the need for practical action。 If you want to change a difficultsituation， if you want to change yourself， if you want to make good use of timeto study， you must put into not， your plan will be not meaningful。

One night， I plained to my mom about the lack of time。 Finally shesaid，"you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on plaintsand anxiety。 The point is， no matter how full your schedule is， if you tryreally hard， you can always fit in some thing more。"

Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future， I will tell myself "Carpediem ， seize the day， make every moment count。"
